The morning of the final day and here we are back at Le Flégère to begin the 2 hour stretch to Plan Praz left over from yesterday
The early morning light gives a freshness to the mountain views. How lucky we have been with the weather over these last 3-4 days!
The pace was brisk as we tried to make up a little time
Plan Praz is reached in good time so we celebrate with drinks at the Refuge
Plan Praz and the Mont Blanc masif. The paragliders take off from the flat piece of ground just to the right of centre
The cable car to Brévent from Plan Praz
On the rocky pedestal on the left is the precarious looking cable car station at Brévent (2525 m) which is reached on foot along the far side of the ridge from right to left
The way through to Brévent
The route is fairly straightforward apart from a tricky bit including ladders and pins in the rock face.
This Ibex kept a keen eye on us
More snow on the way up to the peak
Extreme care must be taken, mainly because a slip would mean a wet backside - it is quite slushy
The Brévent cable car station (2525 m)
This range was the subject of one of the first photos on day one to prove that we had nearly finished the circuit.
Mont Blanc looking quite close across the valley
A passing paraglider searches for thermals
On the way down now, the total descent just over a mile down to Les Houches
The rear of a large statue of Christ
What the statue looks like from the far side (I knew that selfie stick would come in handy!)

Back to Chamonix and the view from the hotel room window - Brévent is visible up on the mountain top
We arrived down in Les Houches and found a bus stop nearby. As we were looking at the times a bus to Chamonix arrived immediately - great timing
A clever trompe l'oeil painting on the gable end of a Chamonix shop. Even the balconies are painted!
