Some of the many caves formed while excavating the Purbeck Sone, used widely in the building industry for centuries. The slightly out of level rock strata give a rather uneasy look to the perspective.
The tall white towers are one end of a measured mile along this coast used for measuring ship speeds.

A view towards Seacombe cliff from Blackers Hole. The dark patch on the hill at Seacombe is caused by Strip Lynchetts, strips formed by ancient ploughing.

Inland now and time for lunch at Windmill Knap.

A hardy swimmer braves the probably by now 6-7 degree air temperature. The sea is probably warmer than the air temperature - I hope so!.
