Keren's Bournemouth Wonderland Walk
This was a 9.3 mile walk from Ensbury Park, round the chines and snickets of the West Bournemouth area including a small section over the border into Poole, culminating in a magical walk through the Lower Gardens to see the illuminated Christmas Trees and Ice Rink.
Tea and cake was on offer in Keren's flat on the way back to the cars.
The weather was a little overcast at the start but the cloud soon cleared and it became warm and sunny with only light breezes.
Total ascent was 883 feet.

The Packe family Mausoleum
Charles William Packe arrived in Branksome in 1853 from Leicester, where he was an MP and the first chairman of Leicestershire County Council. He was a member of Bournemouth's first local authority and was something of a local benefactor, providing the earliest hospitals in Bournemouth and Poole. The mausoleum was built for him and his wife, who died in 1867 and 1870 respectively, and ras restored by Poole Borough Council in 1993.
