On with the walk and up towards the impressively sinister Nine Standards Rigg

Although it is a little hazey many landmarks are visible from here, not least the last view of the hills encountered in the Lake district.

After leaving the Standards the ground degenerates into a boggy morass and the careless or unlucky walker will end up waist deep in the bog - thankfully this didn't apply to any of us - just!

After the bog now for the treat - Howard shouts us all a cream tea at the farm run by Amanda Owen, the Yorkshire Shepperdess, and her husband and eight children at the last count!
