Day 2 Ennerdale Bridge to Seatoller, Saturday 18 Sept 2015
There was steady rain from the start but it gradually reduced
and the cloud lifted enabling us to arrive in Seatoller in bright sunshine.

In steady rain we set out along Ennerdale Water
Towards the end of the lake we stopped for a break
Looking back down Ennerdale Water - is that some brightness in the distance?
Time to set off again
The famous and remote Black Sail Youth Hostel - ideal as a base for exploring the Fells in this area.
With Ennerdale water far behind us now, the path rises to the hills on the left leaving the Drumlins looking like giant ant hills behind.
We follow the path up to cross Loft Beck and there follow the stream up the side of the hill
Camera at the ready but no-one falls in!
Accompanied by the rushing water in the Beck the path rises swiftly to a plateau
As we reached the level ground above the Beck the clouds lifted and we had distant views down to Ennerdale on one side of Haystacks and Buttermere and Crummock Water on the other
Approaching Borrowdale, farmland can be seen in the valley
