On a rather intricate route the above arrow trace indicates the direction of travel starting at Houns Tout Car Park near the top left. There are two linking portions over which we walked in both directions. The spur on the bottom right shows where lunch was taken

After heavy rain the previous evening the steps down from Houns Tout are treacherous requiring great care

The stripes on the hill are Strip Lynchets - the remains of medieval field systems

Dancing Ledge - the depression excavated by the quarry owners to provide a saltwater pool for pupils at Durnford School is visible on the rock ledge
