In this part of the plant the basic chassis is built up to a rolling chassis complete with engine, gearbox and wheels.
One man is responsible for constructing one car chassis. There are up to 10 in production here at any one time.
Each body is a sandwich of an ash frame with riveted and hot bonded aluminium panels on each side. The curved and sculpted panels are made by blowing hot aluminium panels against a mould.
