These are a few photos taken on a fairly strenuous 10.24 mile walk from Milton Abbas in Dorset on 26 february 2014.
The weather was mainly sunny spells with some cloud, and a couple of light showers during the day.
The route actually walked anti-clockwise from Milton Abbas.
Although the weather was mainly sunny, there were some pretty hefty shower clouds about, fortunately only once affecting the area I was in.
This is an interesting looking semi-circular house, Thornicombe Lodge, and in such a pleasant situation in this valley (according to Zoopla it could be yours for £1.8 million!).
A light shower came along and this rainbow was the result.
The recent storms (probably the most recent and most damaging here was on St Valentine's Day) have left many trees down in Milton Park Wood. Here it is a large mature Beech tree with a huge root ball which must be over 4 metres high and about 6 metres wide. if you look closely my sticks are standing upright near the right hand side for scale - they are about a metre and a half high.
