The actual route of the walk as recorded on my phone
Coverack from the path near Lowland Point
Ships moored off shore.
Quarries, both active and abandoned, disfigure this stretch of coast.
The path out of Porthoustock with the quarry almost reaching the small harbour.
At Porthallow (or Pralla as the locals call it) there is this marker to indicate the halfway point on the South West Coast Path. Mixed feelings of accomplishment, and sadness that there is less to walk than has been walked.
Ships moored off Falmouth way to the North. Taken from a spot near Nare Head.
Now into Gillan Creek, and a lady feeds some rather feisty swans and their brood of cygnets.
After rushing to get to Gillan it became obvious that there was now time to spare so decided to stop at the little harbour for a cup of coffee. The dispensing machine was out of cups but no self respecting walker lacks a cup!
On the path towards Helford was this table set up outside a river side house. The smallest red bottle was £2.
